
Make sure the rental is available when you need to move in by. Some times you may see homes that have a farther out availability date that might not work for you.
What appliances does the rental come with? Does it come furnished? What utilities does your rent include? Whatever utilities aren’t included, make sure to add that monthly fee on top of your rent to see what you are really paying each month.
Typically it is a 12 month minimum when renting but it is always good to check to make sure it aligns with what you need.
Some rentals do not include this in the list price of the rental and charge you for it. It varies city by city so make sure to ask if that is included or not in the price they quoted you and if not add it in to your monthly expenses.
Some deposits to be aware of are Earnest, Security, Pet, Cleaning, Credit Check, Pre-Paid Last Month rent, etc. Before giving any money ask which ones are refundable, partially refundable and non-refundable.
If you own pets, make sure the landlord will approve them. Especially if you own dogs, there are some breeds that many landlords will not approve.
